On May 12th, 1985, Eddie Van Halen and Cheech Marin, Cheech, and Chong, team up to play some songs for a charity event. The event was to support MER or Malibu Emergency Room, a charity that created an emergency room for Malibu residents. They play a cover of Marvin Gaye’s Ain’t That Peculiar, Cheech’s songs “Mexican Americans” and “Born in East La”, and The Troggs’ “Wild Thing.”

Cassette audience recording of unknown gen, by an unknown taper. I received this in a trade in the 1980’s. Eddie, Cheech Marin, and unknown musicians play cover tunes billed as ‘Van Hey Man!’ at a charity gig in Malibu.
